The things I like: giggling

She was in her 70’s and looking good in her tight fitting skirt, short hair and a figure to die for. She walked confident over the streets, passing two guy in there twenties. They looked at her, flirted. When they passed her she stood still, looked back, giggled like a teenage girl with her hand before her mouth. Took an other look at the guys, still not able to believe, they had flirted with her, WITH HER!! Another giggle and started to walk again. Not realizing that she looks amazing.
This happened when I passed through Braunlage and it made my day. It had put a smile on my face for the rest of that Day.

Souvenirs

When I was in Germany I could not stop myself from buying a few things.

The things I’ve bought where:

A dungaree: I was looking for one with this length for quite some time and therefore I could not leave this one behind.

A blouse from H&M

Some vanilla perfume

A bracelet: I’ve bought this one when we where to see a cave. I thought it would be a nice souvenir to remind me of this time and it would make one to add to my collection.
An owl keychain: I love, love, love owls. So seeing this adorable keychain, made me want to buy it and so I did.

A few pens to write with: Not very interesting, but I needed it though

Nail studs

And last: A aloe Vera lotion: so far I still like it. It doesn’t have a overpowering smell and moisturise my skin good.

I am back!!

So for the past few months I haven’t posted much, but I’m going to change that now. I have been on vacation in Germany and collected some ideas and inspiration for future posts. But before that I will just share my vacation.

We went Friday, very very early in the morning. To be exact; I got up at 4.30 AM (that’s early right). We did this because we knew that this day would be smoking hot and therefore not the ideal weather to travel by car without air conditioner.

At Saturday we went to an old village and a castle, well the castle was not really what we expected and a disappointment. But luckily the old village wasn’t. Buildings from 1614.

Sunday we went to see a cave. And again a disappointment, quite a start of a vacation.

We got a tour for 30 minutes, where the man talked for 20 minutes and the other 10 was going through the cave. (we barely saw anything of the cave). But well, Monday came and a new week was arrived and we started that week to see a real castle this time and with success. It was one of those castles with almost anything intact, you could almost see the people walking through the rooms and hallways that once lived there. It was a great treat for my imagination.

Tuesday at my fathers birthday we went to see the einhornhöle, it was a cave with a proper tour and lot of spaces to go in. At the end of the cave there was a hole in the “roof” where the sunshine beautifully felt through and lighted the way, it was magical just like in the movies. The only downside of the day was, that I was not prepared for a cave and forgot my sweater, therefore freezing (only 4° C down there, and outside it was 38 ° C).

Wednesday we went to a zoo. A had a lovely day looking at animals.

Already tired of our vacation, but still no time to take a break. We went that Thursday to Goslar to do a bit of shopping and walking through streets with beautiful old buildings. The next day we decided we weren’t tired enough and took a walk to the top of Brocken (1142 m, the highest mountain in the Harz) and down again. The route we took was 18 km in total. The view was beautiful, but at the end of the day we could barely walk, I don’t believe I ever felt so much pain in my feed. But don’t feel sorry for us it was our own choice and normally we walk much more in vacation, I believe I participated walking (not as many km’s as this) when I was four years old. But I have to admit I don’t really have no condition anymore.

Because our limbs still ached from the day before we didn’t plan to do to much. So we went strolling through several nearby villages. Sunday was the last day of our vacation and the day we would travel back to home. So first we packed up the tent and all the other stuff left the campsite and went to see a herb garden nearby. Where we could not stop our selves to buy a few things in their shop. After being there for a few hours we began our journey back home.
You know what the best part of coming home after a vacation is? It’s the fact you can shower in your own shower (and feel so clean after washing yourself at the campsite), your own toilet (that hasn’t been used by strangers) and your own bed. The first time you sleep in your own bed after sleeping on an air mattress, is like sleeping on a cloud in heaven. I always feel like the first night in my own bed is the best one.

So that was my vacation, how was yours? Did you enjoyed yourself? I hope you had a splendid vacation! I did.

There was a dog at the other side of the glass and he was very interested in the dog.
