A day of wandering

Last Saturday my mum and I had a day of shopping/wandering through Groningen. Something I’ve looked massively forward too, considered I much needed a day without stress or anxiety. Because, as you might know my goal of 2015 is to challenge myself (anxiety wise) and I’ve started this month and it has become almost a daily challenge.
As an extra present a blanket of snow was put over the world that morning. Which made my dog and I very excited and of course we went straight outside to have a play with it, it was Luna’s first snow and I believe it's now her favourite type of weather. So after having played with the snow for a little bit it was time to get ready because we had a train to catch.
Finally we arrived in Groningen, but instead heading straight towards the main shopping streets, we decided to go and wander a bit through bits of Groningen where we normally wouldn’t go. With less familiar shops. Unfortunately, it didn’t go down the way we planned and hope, we first had to get the hang of it. But at the end, we did have a lovely time wandering and eating lunch at Het Concerthuis, which is beautifully decorated and the food and drinks are presented in such a nice and unique way and of course the food was delicious.
Of course, leaving Groningen without buying a few bits and bobs was a bit impossible.
Vanilla Eaude Toilette
I thought I would treat myself with my lovely smelling perfume/Eau de Toilette and this vanilla one from the Bodyshop is perfect as it isn’t your standard perfume smell, which I’m not a fan of. I Think they smell a bit too perfumy, if that makes sense, it probably wouldn’t.
VanillaBrûlée Bath Melt
This one was on sale, only €2,70 and is vanilla fragrance, which is one of my favourite smells. Another reason to buy, this is that I only have three baths worth of lush stuff left.
Notebook
I always had an obsession with owls, but lately foxes have been added to my small list of obsessions. To feed this new obsession of mine, I couldn’t help myself from buying this notebook covered in foxes, especially because I had my eye on this one for quite a while.
Books
These two books came out a store which held a sale and sold all books for only €2, - each, so I had to have a look if they had anything for me there and I found these two books.
Mesh T-shirt dress from Stardust
This is a long shirt (it comes down to my ankles) and has a slit on each side starting from where my ribs end. I think this will be great wearing over almost anything to make an outfit stand out a bit more or just to cover myself up. It’s probably a piece I will get a lot of wear out during spring and summer.
The prettiest books I own
It was love at first sight, because as soon as I saw them I was sold. Of course I asked my mum several times whether it was a good idea to buy them (as I always do because of my forever doubt). But I was asking this whilst holding the books extremely tightly in my arms so that nobody could take them away from me.

I bought some things from Primark

I’ve done some shopping in Almere, mostly to get some clothing essentials for my intro camp, such a pajama that fits and more. Not that I catered everything that I need yet, but it’s a start.

Pajama one: Elmo shirt 8,00, Pants 3,00, Primark. The pajama that I already owned was three sizes too big and therefore I would not feel comfortable to wear it out on camp. So I needed a new one and I found this one to replace, I love the Elmo shirt (with the Tickle me! Sign on the back) and thought these pants, that were on sale, would be cute to pair with. This means I’m ready for sleeping during camp!

Pajama two: 9,00, Primark. I do not really have an explanation why, other than I like it and really want it. I already slept in this one, and it’s very comfortable to wear and perfect for the warm summer nights, because It isn’t a thick material or very warm.

Dress: 3,00, Primark. This dress was on sale and if it wasn’t for my mom I wouldn’t have seen it, which would be a shame, because I really love it. I love the fit on me, over the last year I discovered I like looser, more about me, simply because it suits my body better than the skin tight, which I wore before.

Kimono: 18,00, Primark. I really like the look of a kimono, so when I came across this one I couldn’t do anything else to buy it and take it with me.

Dress: 9,95, Zara. I found this dress in the sale in Zara and immediately loved it. It’s so soft and lightweight that I would wear this loads in summer.

Black Jeans: 29,95, Only. I already planned on buying a more expensive one ( 60) somewhere else, but when I found this one for 30 euros less, the choice was easy. I think a simple black high waist jeans is a good staple in my closet, something I can build an outfit from.

Socks: 2,50, Primark. Last year I bought a pack of Christmas socks from Primark and they were very comfortable, so comfortable that I still wear them every now and then, even though it is summertime. So buying a new pair of these socks was not a bad idea, I chose these bear ones this time.

Flower crown: 3,50, Primark. As you might know, I’m trying to expand my comfort zone clothing wise and because a flower crown is something I wanted to try out for quite some time now, but never had the courage to do so, I thought I might now start to just wear it without too many thoughts. So I bought this one, because they weren’t that expensive and because I would not have an excuse not to try it.

Searching for a summer jacket

1. Striped shirt, The Sting, 15, -: I do not own that many staples where I can build my outfit on, so I thought it would be good to make a start of staples in my closet. And why not start with a striped shirt. I like the cut of this one in particular, It is a bit shorter than a normal shirt and I think it is flattering my body.

2. Basic black crop top, Zara, 9,95: I saw this top hanging on the racks from Zara and thought it would be looking great with the skirt I bought earlier and because it is a pretty basic top I probably can find other things to wear it with as well. So I decided to buy it. Another thing I liked of this shirt is the fact that has a lower back.

3. Croptop/bralet, The Sting, 15, -: I own a numerous see-through shirt's and nothing to wear underneath them, besides bras. And this would be perfect for that and of course it would be cute on its own and a skirt.

4. Top, Only, 9,95: It’s light and therefore perfect for summer days and with that came that it was on sale!!

5. T-shirt, The Sting, 19,95: I love the print of this shirt and that is what drawn me to it. It also helped I saw something similar in a magazine with a corset over it and I loved the look of it. It’s a bit quirky, but I don’t mind, I like quirky. So now the only thing left for me to do is find a corset.

6. Top, Stardust, 18, -: My favourite store of whole Groningen and of course I couldn’t leave without buying something. This top is something from the years I do not remember. It’s one that you tie both in your neck as in the back, very simple and it think it would look cute with a white/red skirt.

7. Skirt, Stardust, 12, -: I found this pencil skirt for only 12, - and after I tried it on and it fitted I couldn’t leave it there. This skirt is where I talked about when telling about the basic black crop top from Zara, which would be perfect for the somewhat colder days of summer and can be worn during the autumn and winter months as well.

8. Summer jacket, The Sting, 49,95: I didn’t own a jacket for summer and so I was forced to wear my winter jacket when it was a bit too cold to go without a jacket. So in need of my jacket I went to go shopping and this is what I found.

9. Shorts, Only, 16,95: The sales technique of the saleswoman was great and she made me leave with matching shorts, not that I mind because there will be hot days I would love to wear some comfortable shorts. I do not plan on wearing the matching shirt and shorts together, it’s not really my cup of tea. But separately, they will be great.

10. Earrings, pieces, 3,95: Due to my love for triangles and spotting these triangular earrings I could not resist on buying and taking them home. I already wore them out ones and I don’t think I’m pleased, it is not that I think it doesn’t look good, it just feels wrong wearing them, like I’m someone else. They are too big for my taste I discovered when I put them in my ears.

Just a small haul

I discovered a lovely shop in Groningen, it’s called Stardust and it’s a combination of new, old and remade clothes. The fun part is, they sell items that are a bit different from the usual. I waited, for I while before I went in, basically because my anxiety and a lack of money. But last I felt good and ready and had some money, so I went in. Curious about what I bought?

1. Jeans: I didn’t own a pair of jeans that fit and I was in need of a pair of good fitting jeans. And this is what I find. The fit is a bit eighties and I love it. I like the way my bum looks in this. Also, I like the style and already I have worn it as much as I can, which is basically non-stop. 60, -, Stardust, brand: Cheap Monday.

2. Shirt: I was looking for a cropped top in this material, but couldn’t find it. So I thought why not buy me simple basic at the H&M and crop it myself.
14,95, H&M.

3. Shorts: I wanted this since the age of twelve and now finally I have them. I haven’t worn them yet, the weather didn’t let me, but I’m sure I will soon.
25, -, Stardust, vintage.

4. Jumpsuit: I love the colour red so much and with that, people have told me it’s a colour that suits me. Because of that I feel good in it and wanted a red dress, which I could only when I tried this on I could not say no to it. It’s more practical in the sense my undies won’t show if I fall asleep somewhere where I’m not supposed to (this does happen, especially when I’m tired and I can sleep everywhere and in almost every position). The thing I like the most about jumpsuits in general is that they are so comfortable.
25, -, Stardust.

5. Gray maxi skirt with a slit at the front: I saw this when hanging in the H&M and wanted to try it on immediately, so I did and decided I loved it and that I wanted it. I love the fact that it’s maxi, but show a little skin through the slit.
14,95, H&M.

6. Notebooks: My notebook is coming to an end and therefore I needed a new one to put all my ideas and thought in. These two are made of 100% recycled paper, which is good because it means no trees killed specially for these notebooks. I like that.
2,25 each, Dille & Kamille.

Primark Haul

Last Sunday I went to Almere to shop at the Primark, to a few bits to keep me warm this winter and I thought why not share what I got on my blog. So here I go.
I will start with the rather boring pieces.

The long-sleeved t-shirt is one of the peaces I did not got at Primark, but at H&M. there is nothing really interesting about the peaces, but I needed to layer underneath my sweaters this winter. 9,95.

The hat I also got at the H&M. 14,95.

The tights (3 pack) 4,00.

Winnie the Pooh socks, just because I could not leave them there. 3,50.

The cosy red Christmassy socks to keep me warm at cold winters days and to go with my hot chocolate. 4,00.

Now to the actual clothes.

The creamy sweater. I was looking for one for quite some time now, I just really needed one to finish a couple of outfits. I am not sure but I believe this sweater was around 12,00.

The awesome red tartan shorts. Also not sure about the prize, but I think it was 8,00.

The shirt with the green leopard print, just because I could. 13,00.

The smiley skirt. This one just drew my attention as it is so me. Another one I’m not sure about the prize. I think it was 8,00.

To get in the Christmas spirit my mom bought these Christmas tree earrings. 1,50.

Haul

In the past few weeks I’ve bought some clothing items. Non of them were planned, they kinda just happened as I was walking past some stores and looking on the internet. But I got two items that I needed for the winter.

The Jumper with eye motif, asos. I just really loved this sweater and I could not leave this behind.

The high waist dark blue skinny jeans, also asos. This one of the items I needed for the winter, because I did not have any jeans that were comfortable and this one is. I can wear it the whole day and still feel comfortable and that is something I find hart when I wear a jeans.

The bright red blouse, Zara. This is not a piece I essentially need, but I was looking for something like this for quite some time and am very happy that I found it.

The hat, Zara. I have a hat addiction, when I see one I just need to have it and this one is just an other one. Even though I haven’t wore it jet, I know that one day I will.

The boots, Tamaris. I really needed a pair of good shoes for the winter, the only ones I had were not waterproof (making my feed wet with the littlest rain). These ones are made of real leather and are the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feed. They were a little bit more expensive then I normally spend on my shoes, but they are worth every bit of the money.

Souvenirs

When I was in Germany I could not stop myself from buying a few things.

The things I’ve bought where:

A dungaree: I was looking for one with this length for quite some time and therefore I could not leave this one behind.

A blouse from H&M

Some vanilla perfume

A bracelet: I’ve bought this one when we where to see a cave. I thought it would be a nice souvenir to remind me of this time and it would make one to add to my collection.
An owl keychain: I love, love, love owls. So seeing this adorable keychain, made me want to buy it and so I did.

A few pens to write with: Not very interesting, but I needed it though

Nail studs

And last: A aloe Vera lotion: so far I still like it. It doesn’t have a overpowering smell and moisturise my skin good.
