Primark Haul

Last Sunday I went to Almere to shop at the Primark, to a few bits to keep me warm this winter and I thought why not share what I got on my blog. So here I go.
I will start with the rather boring pieces.

The long-sleeved t-shirt is one of the peaces I did not got at Primark, but at H&M. there is nothing really interesting about the peaces, but I needed to layer underneath my sweaters this winter. 9,95.

The hat I also got at the H&M. 14,95.

The tights (3 pack) 4,00.

Winnie the Pooh socks, just because I could not leave them there. 3,50.

The cosy red Christmassy socks to keep me warm at cold winters days and to go with my hot chocolate. 4,00.

Now to the actual clothes.

The creamy sweater. I was looking for one for quite some time now, I just really needed one to finish a couple of outfits. I am not sure but I believe this sweater was around 12,00.

The awesome red tartan shorts. Also not sure about the prize, but I think it was 8,00.

The shirt with the green leopard print, just because I could. 13,00.

The smiley skirt. This one just drew my attention as it is so me. Another one I’m not sure about the prize. I think it was 8,00.

To get in the Christmas spirit my mom bought these Christmas tree earrings. 1,50.

My heart want’s to fly

My brain says don’t

Who should my ears listen to?

Who should my legs follow?

Living with a pup

It’s been 5 weeks since we picked Luna up and since then she came alive. The first two weeks she was very calm and scared, but as she became used to us she feels completely comfortable to do whatever she wants. Our shoes, socks, clothes, dirty laundry, chairs, tables, arms, legs, noses and buts aren’t save anymore. Everything is a game for her and she is a pup so she plays with her teeth. And then there is our garden, not much is left of it, she ruined the grass by digging in it, she made a nice little place for her self by jumping on the plants and flattened it. Now it probably sounds like she is an awful dog, but that’s not true.

The way she acts at home is the opposite of the way she acts when she is somewhere unfamiliar. She basically fears everything she doesn’t know. She hates going for a walk, because all those dogs that are barking, kids that are screaming, cyclist that are passing by and all those different smells are really scary. And then we haven’t even talked about the dark, you can’t see a thing you know. The fun part of she is being scared is that she basically comes and sit between your legs hiding and that is just melting you from the inside (really so cute). And speaking about cute, she has learned to give a high five and now she does it all the time, mainly because she will get some candy.

So because I realised that we already have her for five weeks, I took a look at the first pictured that where taken of her and realised she got so big already, it really goes by so quickly.

Haul

In the past few weeks I’ve bought some clothing items. Non of them were planned, they kinda just happened as I was walking past some stores and looking on the internet. But I got two items that I needed for the winter.

The Jumper with eye motif, asos. I just really loved this sweater and I could not leave this behind.

The high waist dark blue skinny jeans, also asos. This one of the items I needed for the winter, because I did not have any jeans that were comfortable and this one is. I can wear it the whole day and still feel comfortable and that is something I find hart when I wear a jeans.

The bright red blouse, Zara. This is not a piece I essentially need, but I was looking for something like this for quite some time and am very happy that I found it.

The hat, Zara. I have a hat addiction, when I see one I just need to have it and this one is just an other one. Even though I haven’t wore it jet, I know that one day I will.

The boots, Tamaris. I really needed a pair of good shoes for the winter, the only ones I had were not waterproof (making my feed wet with the littlest rain). These ones are made of real leather and are the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feed. They were a little bit more expensive then I normally spend on my shoes, but they are worth every bit of the money.

New Hair

After avoiding the hairdresser for months, because I wasn’t pleased how she cut it the last time, I went. My hair became so unmanageable, I really started to hate my hair. Luckily for me I do like my hair now it has been cut.

Because I was ready for something different I painted my hair as well when I cam home. The result:

I had a nightmare

I normally never have any nightmares, the last one I had was around six years ago and I was sick, but I recently had one. I do have bad dreams, where murders, monsters and a lot of kidnapping appears. But never they feel real, so they won’t scare me. But this one I had felt so real, that it scared me.

The first part of my dream I was one of the investigators of a series of murders trying to find who committed them. The killer had left a piece of paper, with a large black triangle within a square, at every murder he or she had committed.

One of the girls that was investigating with me has left to go and see someone. As she left I wandered through her room. I stumbled across this peace of paper with… a black triangle inside a square. Shit!! I panicked as I felt see was going to kill again. I needed to do something.

Next thing I was laying on the ground with my head in the lap of that same girl from earlier. She was stroking my face, went with her fingers through my hear, saying words of comfort; shhhh.. It will only hurt for a while. I felt panic, my eyes came across her hand. Is saw her hand was carrying something shiny, something sharp. As I look closely I saw it was a scalpel. Her other hand still stroking me, suddenly hold still and hold me down. I could not move. Her other hand came to my neck, she placed the scalpel on to my throat. She pressed down, I felt a sharp pain, she moved the scalpel towards her. I felt blood dripping down my neck. I started to sweat, I became anxious, I tried to fight back, but without success. She was humming a song, laughed. I shivered. The end was near.

This is where I woke up. My hand went direct to my throat to feel the cut, but of course there was none. I crumbled to the corner of my bed and turned on the light. I started to inspect my room if someone that was planning to kill me was hiding anywhere (nope no one was hiding). I looked on my alarm to see how late it was, 03:00 AM. I never wake up in the middle of the night. When I sleep, I sleep and won’t wake up until it’s time. Still scared, but after a while I finally felt asleep again.

how to survive to colder months list

It officially became autumn. What means; comfy sweaters, hot chocolate, falling leaves and cozy weather to be inside with. Here in the Netherlands it’s still fairly warm weather, but colder weather will be coming soon and to not make the same mistakes as I did last year I made a list of what I will need to survive the cold weather of the fall and winter, so lets prepare probably:

  • The mistake I have made last year is not having the proper shoes, mine were firs of all not waterproof and so my feed were cold and wet while you where shoes to keep your feed warm. So for this year I’m on the hunt for cute shoes that will also keep my feed warm and dry.
  • A thick winter coat that leaves the wind outside, instead of letting it go right trough you.
  • Hot chocolate, probably most important. If you could not find the two above you can always warm yourself with a nice cup of hot chocolate, with a little cinnamon, marshmallows and whipped cream, mmmm(or another version of course if you like).
  • A maxi-skirt, you can hide to most warm (ugly) socks or/and tights and no one will know a thing about it, you will still look cute and your warm and cozy.
  • of course all the thick and warm socks, tights and leggings you will need.
  • sweaters and cardigans to keep you warm and at least one big oversized warm and thick sweater or cardigan to be in when you’re in the comfort of your own home.
  • A large stack of books and magazines to read in your favourite chair, with your favourite blanket.
  • Hair and facial masks, scrubs, lotions, oils, etc to have a day to prep yourself.
I’m already enjoying some yummy goods that come with the colder months; Pepetnoten!!, even though Sinterklaas hasn’t arrived yet.
What is in your “how to survive to colder months list”

Say hello to Luna!!

We have welcomed a new family member since Sunday 15 September. She is a happy, active little pup, but let’s not forget a really big coward. She hides under the table, tries to hide under the couch, but she doesn’t fit there because she is a little to big (o so frustrating).

So with a new pup in the house the cute-factor has suddenly increased. I can’t barely do anything I need to do, because she is such a big distraction that wants your attention all the time. Not that I’m complaining, I do enjoy having her. The two cats we have are a little les happy to share a home with her, but well they will just have to get used to her.

Now I almost forget, I haven’t mention her name: it’s Luna and she shares the same birthday as I, 27 June. Watching her is so much better then watching TV.

The things I like: giggling

She was in her 70’s and looking good in her tight fitting skirt, short hair and a figure to die for. She walked confident over the streets, passing two guy in there twenties. They looked at her, flirted. When they passed her she stood still, looked back, giggled like a teenage girl with her hand before her mouth. Took an other look at the guys, still not able to believe, they had flirted with her, WITH HER!! Another giggle and started to walk again. Not realizing that she looks amazing.
This happened when I passed through Braunlage and it made my day. It had put a smile on my face for the rest of that Day.

Style inspiration: Dungarees

Lately I’ve been in love with dungarees. So I thought why not get a little inspiration on how to where it!

Souvenirs

When I was in Germany I could not stop myself from buying a few things.

The things I’ve bought where:

A dungaree: I was looking for one with this length for quite some time and therefore I could not leave this one behind.

A blouse from H&M

Some vanilla perfume

A bracelet: I’ve bought this one when we where to see a cave. I thought it would be a nice souvenir to remind me of this time and it would make one to add to my collection.
An owl keychain: I love, love, love owls. So seeing this adorable keychain, made me want to buy it and so I did.

A few pens to write with: Not very interesting, but I needed it though

Nail studs

And last: A aloe Vera lotion: so far I still like it. It doesn’t have a overpowering smell and moisturise my skin good.

I am back!!

So for the past few months I haven’t posted much, but I’m going to change that now. I have been on vacation in Germany and collected some ideas and inspiration for future posts. But before that I will just share my vacation.

We went Friday, very very early in the morning. To be exact; I got up at 4.30 AM (that’s early right). We did this because we knew that this day would be smoking hot and therefore not the ideal weather to travel by car without air conditioner.

At Saturday we went to an old village and a castle, well the castle was not really what we expected and a disappointment. But luckily the old village wasn’t. Buildings from 1614.

Sunday we went to see a cave. And again a disappointment, quite a start of a vacation.

We got a tour for 30 minutes, where the man talked for 20 minutes and the other 10 was going through the cave. (we barely saw anything of the cave). But well, Monday came and a new week was arrived and we started that week to see a real castle this time and with success. It was one of those castles with almost anything intact, you could almost see the people walking through the rooms and hallways that once lived there. It was a great treat for my imagination.

Tuesday at my fathers birthday we went to see the einhornhöle, it was a cave with a proper tour and lot of spaces to go in. At the end of the cave there was a hole in the “roof” where the sunshine beautifully felt through and lighted the way, it was magical just like in the movies. The only downside of the day was, that I was not prepared for a cave and forgot my sweater, therefore freezing (only 4° C down there, and outside it was 38 ° C).

Wednesday we went to a zoo. A had a lovely day looking at animals.

Already tired of our vacation, but still no time to take a break. We went that Thursday to Goslar to do a bit of shopping and walking through streets with beautiful old buildings. The next day we decided we weren’t tired enough and took a walk to the top of Brocken (1142 m, the highest mountain in the Harz) and down again. The route we took was 18 km in total. The view was beautiful, but at the end of the day we could barely walk, I don’t believe I ever felt so much pain in my feed. But don’t feel sorry for us it was our own choice and normally we walk much more in vacation, I believe I participated walking (not as many km’s as this) when I was four years old. But I have to admit I don’t really have no condition anymore.

Because our limbs still ached from the day before we didn’t plan to do to much. So we went strolling through several nearby villages. Sunday was the last day of our vacation and the day we would travel back to home. So first we packed up the tent and all the other stuff left the campsite and went to see a herb garden nearby. Where we could not stop our selves to buy a few things in their shop. After being there for a few hours we began our journey back home.
You know what the best part of coming home after a vacation is? It’s the fact you can shower in your own shower (and feel so clean after washing yourself at the campsite), your own toilet (that hasn’t been used by strangers) and your own bed. The first time you sleep in your own bed after sleeping on an air mattress, is like sleeping on a cloud in heaven. I always feel like the first night in my own bed is the best one.

So that was my vacation, how was yours? Did you enjoyed yourself? I hope you had a splendid vacation! I did.

There was a dog at the other side of the glass and he was very interested in the dog.
